The ICC today long-established its choice to move the venue for the India v England match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, which had been at first planned for Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 27 February. It will now take put in Bengaluru on the same date.
In a letter to the BCCI yesterday, the ICC outline a schedule of works that wanted to be approved out at Eden Gardens in front of the ground’s other scheduled fixtures on 15, 18 and 20 March. As such, an check team will visit Kolkata again on 7 February to charge development in line with that schedule.
Meanwhile, the BCCI has respond to the ICC nominate Bengaluru as its favored exchange venue for the India v England match, a suggestion the ICC agrees to.
ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat said: "This choice now clarifies and gives us confidence over the fixture. We can now work with our variety of partners and stakeholders to make in no doubt that match - the length of with the relax of the tournament - is all it should be."
